a mode of thinking influenced by frequent and obsessive Google searches
A person who performs too many Google searches may begin to suffer from googlethink. This can take many forms.
At the most superficial level, a victim of this insidious malady may find him or herself randomly wondering, “I wonder what would happen if I typed that phrase into Google?” Our research, admittedly unscientific, indicates that this symptom is surprisingly common.
A more extreme (and rare) form is the delusion that things and ideas not indexed by Google are not real and do not exist.
